What is the working principle of aluminum ion batteries?

2021-03-25
The aluminum ion battery contains a negatively charged anode made of aluminum and a positively charged graphite cathode. Due to the excellent electrical conductivity and huge specific surface area of three-dimensional graphite, the charging time of the battery can be greatly shortened.
The aluminum ion battery is a type of rechargeable battery. When discharging, aluminum ions move from the cathode to the anode; when charging, the aluminum ions return to the cathode. Aluminum-ion batteries have similar functions to lithium-ion batteries, but due to the difference in composition and structure, the level of electrical energy output is different. The aluminum ion battery can be fully charged in a short time and can be recharged 7500 times.
Aluminum ion batteries are highly efficient and durable, ultra-fast charging, high safety, foldable, low material cost, flexibility and long life.
