What is the difference between monocrystalline silicon solar panels and polycrystalline silicon solar panels?

Monocrystalline solar panels and polycrystalline solar panels are both a kind of solar panels, but they are different in terms of crystal arrangement and so on. The difference between them is:
1. The arrangement is different. Monocrystalline silicon solar panels are modules composed of high conversion efficiency monocrystalline silicon cells in different series and parallel arrays. Polycrystalline silicon solar panels are photovoltaic modules with different powers arranged in different arrays of polycrystalline silicon solar cells.
2. Different batteries are used. Monocrystalline silicon solar panels use monocrystalline silicon solar cells; and polycrystalline silicon solar panels use polycrystalline silicon solar cells.
3. The conversion efficiency is different. The photoelectric conversion efficiency of monocrystalline silicon solar cells is about 15%, and the highest is 24%; while the photoelectric conversion efficiency is about 12% (on July 1, 2004, Sharp listed the world's highest efficiency polycrystalline silicon solar cell with an efficiency of 14.8%) .
4. The cost is different. The production cost of monocrystalline solar panels is very high, which is much higher than that of polycrystalline solar panels.
5. In terms of wide application. Although the application scope of the two is the same, because of the higher cost of monocrystalline solar panels, they are not as popular as polycrystalline solar panels in terms of popularity and versatility.
