On June 23, the Tesla China Optical Storage and Charging Integrated Supercharger Station was officially inaugurated in Lhasa. The charging station can make efficient use of natural resources and help build a new way of green travel and low-carbon life.

It is reported that Lhasa is located at an altitude of 3,650 meters, with an average annual sunshine of 3,000 + hours, which is one of the cities with the longest average sunshine duration in China and has a steady supply of solar energy resources.

The Tesla Solar Storage and Charging Integrated Supercharger Station consists of a solar photovoltaic system, a Tesla Energy Storage System and a Tesla Supercharger Pile. Solar photovoltaic systems can respond to a variety of situations, the continuous conversion of solar energy into electricity; Energy storage system is mainly used for storage of electric energy, to achieve efficient cycle storage of electricity, electricity consumption; Charging stations are used to transmit electricity to charge vehicles.

Earlier, foreign media reported that Tesla will launch its energy unit, Tesla Energy, in China, which will sell solar roof systems and Powerwall home battery packs for the domestic market.
